Manyara
Location
The Lake Manyara national park is 130 KM from Arusha and is situated right in the base of the Great Rift Valley (the Longest Valley in the world that stretches from Jordan) in the northern circuit. It stretches 50 KM long and the size ranges between 77-127 sq miles.
 
Animal Species

The mammals found here include Wildebeest; Tree climbing Lion, Hyenas, Baboon, Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Buffalos and Gazelles are among many others.

Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania's birdlife. The National Park has over 400 bird species, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large waterbirds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.

Accommodations

When paying a visit to the park one may decide to stay at the luxurious Lake Manyara Hotel, Lake Manyara Serena Lodge and Kiruru's Luxury Tented Lodge.

Other Accommodation facilities include: a sumptuous tree-house styled camp. Campsites, public Bandas and Lodges among other guest houses.
