The people who live in the villages surrounding our areas are an intergral part of helping us to ensure that the wildlife in these areas is protected. In order to protect the wildlife, we must first assit the people who live in these areas.

After 30 years this bridge built by Rungwa Game Safaris finally connects Tanganyika Village in Kilombero to the outside world. No more danger from Hippos and Crocodiles.

Many of the children that live in these villages are malnourished.The lack of clean water is a serious issue in many of these villages.

Renovating Wells

This water pump was installed many years ago, but has not worked for more than 10 years now. Rungwa Game Safaris have conducted surveys in many villages and will begin renovating wells such as this.

Education - the corner-stone of life. This school has 450 pupils and only seven teachers. Rungwa Game Safaris has donated cement and iron sheets to assist in building more classrooms and financial assistance to the school to help their efforts in upgrading the facilites Medical attention for this community is many miles away, since their own dispensary has never been fully completed.

Many people in this community are suffering from disease due to contaminated water sources. Rungwa Game Safaris has assisted by donating medicines to this community.The lack of wells in this area means that villagers are obliged to get their water from the rivers, the habitat of crocodiles.
